Wach?

From 5 years

A sleepless night. Many thoughts race through your head. The line between dreaming and experiencing, waking and sleeping becomes blurred. The world under the bed comes to life and three friends experience things together that are hard to believe. Fantasy and shared imagination take over and anything seems possible. Perhaps even a fantastic encounter with themselves.

Based on ideas, drawings and stories from deaf and hearing children, the team led by Düsseldorf director Wera Mahne developed a play about wishes, secret fears and big dreams.

Using sign language and spoken language, choreography and images, a whole new world is created.

The two languages play with each other, complement each other, show different aspects and develop something in common.

The different audience groups can experience the performance on an equal footing. Hearing and deaf performers stand on stage together.
