Ich will das so!

(I want it that way!)

Freely adapted from the picture book "Eltern richtig erziehen" by Katharina Grossmann-Hensel

Junges Theater Münster 2023/24

from 5 years

So your parents don't do what you want? And you often wonder: Why is that? Then you've come to the right place! We'll work with you on a parenting concept that doesn't require you to read thousands of guidebooks and won't try your patience unnecessarily. By now our parents are very well educated. If you want your parents to do what they're told - for example, that they should always have enough sweets and toys - then come along and reinvent your parents' upbringing with us!

"Ich will das so!" (I want it that way!) plays with the topic of parenting from a child's perspective and uses humor to create a world in which children direct, control and shape what happens. At the same time, "Ich will das so!" is a theater experience with german spoken and sign language, in which multilingualism becomes an adventure.

PRESS

"[...] An important and valuable play in every respect. For children and young people whose horizons are broadened - for adults who can reflect on their role from a child's perspective. And for both target groups to become sensitive to their deaf fellow human beings, for whom not being able to hear should no longer be a handicap.

I want it that way! belongs in every school, in every theatre. Absolutely."

Christoph Schulte im Walde, theaterpur, 30.04.2024

"The children were visibly fascinated by the insight into the world of deaf people. And there was also plenty of fun to be had together during the production."

Verena Dörenkämper, alles münster, 01.05.2024
